Mission Statement:

Secondhand Snoots Rescue is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals. We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home all breeds of dogs, cats and other small animals, while focusing a minimum of 50% of our time and resources on animals with special needs, injuries and those suffering with various illnesses.

Vision:

The primary focus of this Rescue will be to rescue animals from animal control facilities, provide them with temporary foster care, rehabilitate them and find suitable adoptive homes. We work to increase compassion and respect for and to find new homes for special needs and severely injured animals, and help return lost animals to their owners.

Values:

  • We are committed to giving stray, unwanted, homeless, special needs, and abused animals the quality of life that they deserve and providing qualified foster and adoptive homes for them;

  • We will always dedicate a minimum of fifty percent of our time and resources to rescuing and rehoming special needs and seriously injured animals, including, but not limited to, deaf, blind, epileptic, amputee/tripod, and seniors;

  • Money will be raised for our operation through appropriate fund raising and donations;

  • All animals that come through Secondhand Snoots Rescue will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and treated for all medical conditions, injuries and ailments that can be treated.
